Modern English dispone attualmente di quattro docenti di madrelingua inglese specializzati nell'insegnamento ai bambini e ragazzi: Harriet, Peter, Suzie e Maria.





Harriet è la direttrice didattica dei corsi Young Learners.  Laureata in Lettere con una specializzazione in Linguistica a Reading University, Inghilterra, con il massimo dei voti nel 1976, si è trasferita a Bologna e nel 1979 è entrata a far parte del Modern English. Dal 1985 al 1986 ha seguito un corsoTEFL (Insegnamento dell'Inglese come Lingua Straniera) e ha ottenuto il Diploma RSA (Royal Society of Arts). Oggi è sposata e vive nell'Appennino con il marito italiano e la figlia cresciuta bilingue, nata nel 1990. E' da quell'anno che Harriet insegna ai bambini e ragazzi e organizza i corsi e le attività Young Learners.  (Leggi Harriet...)

Hi! I'm Harriet and I was born in Ledbury in Herefordshire (UK) but I've been teaching in Bologna for ages!  I've got a daughter who goes to school in Bologna, too, but she and her dad and I live in the Appennines, so we commute to town by train every day. We've got a huge garden where my husband grows fruit and vegetables.  We love animals and have an enormous black dog called Sophie and two cats, Cleo and Lily. We fly to England every year in summer and visit our friends and relatives. I like travelling and walking and I used to do athletics and rock-climbing with the Alpine Club. I also love reading, using my laptop and spending time with friends. I've lived in Germany, where my brother still lives, France and Turkey and I speak German, French and a little Turkish. Learning languages and using them to travel and meet people has been a wonderful experience for me and I'm dedicated to making it fun and successful for all our young students. Come and try!
