| All ARCA Italian courses include two activities a week which present an introduction to Italian social and cultural life. They are generally free of charge, and only on occasion is it necessary to pay a small supplement, which is in any case deducted.
The programme of activities changes every six months. The following is a sample of our activities for the spring-summer semester and the autumn-winter semester.
- Guided tours of the city, museums and exhibitions.
- Practical cookery courses with a final dinner at the “La cucina di Petronilla” school.
- Wine tasting at a typical Bolognese wine merchant's
- Half day excursions to local companies of interest (Ducati, Parmigiano Reggiano, Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale, Esse Caffè and also others of interest)
- Visits to farms and farm holiday businesses near Bologna to discover and get to know Emilia Romagna's rich gastronomic culture and traditions
- Half-day visits to the cities of art around Bologna (Modena, Ferrara, Parma, Ravenna, Mantova) and to small medieval villages in the region to experience local feast-days and medieval and renaissance festivals.
- Taking part in Bologna's many cultural and intercultural events: art, cinema, shows.
